Lesson 3: Nuh 
’s Dua to Allah
Then he invoked his Lord (saying): “I have been overcome, so help (me)!”
Al-Qur’an 54:10
A Great Distress
As the situation with his people grew increasingly dire, Allah revealed to Prophet Nuh that none among his people who hadn’t believed now, would not be saved.
In response to this revelation, Nuh fervently supplicated to Allah that he has been OVERCOME and asked for his aid , help and to be SAVED from the disbelieving people, and to not leave one of them on the earth.
Allah, the Most Merciful and the best of those who answer his servants' supplications, answered and granted Nuh ’s request.
Allah then commanded Nuh to construct an Ark and to embark upon it with two kinds of animals, male and female, and with those who believed.
A DESTRUCTIVE PUNISHMENT had awaited the disbelieving people of Nuh .
- And it was inspired to Nuh (Noah): "None of your people will believe except those who have believed already. So be not sad because of what they used to do."And construct the ship under Our Eyes and with Our Inspiration, and address Me not on behalf of those who did wrong; they are surely to be drowned." [Al-Qur’an 11: 36 - 37]
- And (remember) Nuh (Noah), when he cried (to Us) aforetime. We listened to his invocation and saved him and his family from great distress. [Al-Qur’an 21:76]
- [Nuh (Noah)] said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me." [Al-Qur’an 23:26]
- He said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me." [Al-Qur’an 23:39]
- He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." [Al-Qur’an 26:117-118]
- Then he invoked his Lord (saying): “I have been overcome, so help (me)!” [Al-Qur’an 54:10]
- And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). [Al-Qur’an 37:75]
- "And construct the ship under Our Eyes and with Our Inspiration, and address Me not on behalf of those who did wrong; they are surely to be drowned." [Al-Qur’an 11: 37]
- So We inspired him (saying): "Construct the ship under Our Eyes and under Our Revelation (guidance). Then, when Our Command comes, and the oven gushes forth water, take on board of each kind two (male and female), and your family, except those thereof against whom the Word has already gone forth. And address Me not in favour of those who have done wrong. Verily, they are to be drowned. [Al-Qur’an 23:27]
